The free 1st Nano-Bio materials and Raman characterization is a workshop organized by the University of Ghent, LOT-QuantumDesign GmbH and WITec GmbH.
The detailed programme is available here.
On the first two days, invited speakers from Germany, the United States of America, France, Russia and local speakers from Belgium will give the latest insights into development of novel nano-bio-materials as well as a detailed overview to the application of Raman imaging in various fields of applications.
Speakers from WITec GmbH will provide detailed introductions to the operational principles and instrumental configurations and demonstrate the latest advances in microscopes and equipment development. The participants will have sufficient time for in-depth discussions and close interaction with leading scientists and users of WITec GmbH microscope systems. Scientists interested in chemically identifying and imaging the compounds of a sample at the highest spatial resolution are invited to participate.

The 3rd day (15 September, 2017) is reserved for the Industrial liaison of the EU COST action Raman4Clinics:, which gathers European expertise to step forward in the field of novel, label-free and rapid technologies based on a wide variety of Raman spectroscopies for the clinical diagnostics of body fluids, bacteria, cells and tissues (https://www.raman4clinics.eu/publications/).
